To solve major reverberation issues inside the grand atrium of Capella Tower, Evergreen Creative partnered with Shea and Capella’s ownership team to design, engineer, and install a striking 30-foot-wide sound abatement structure—an elegant floating disc that improves acoustics while anchoring the space visually.

To make it happen, we engineered a low-profile armature that could safely support the massive structure while staying visually discreet. The system was built to lift and hold the disc securely in place, and also allow the integrated chandelier to lower independently for routine maintenance. From rigging anchor points into the steel superstructure to navigating a nearly inaccessible dome space, every detail demanded technical precision. With only one local lift capable of reaching the required height—and no margin for error—we worked closely with Capella’s engineering team to complete the install under cover of night, keeping building operations uninterrupted.
