Feature Wall Fabrication with Faux Walnut Finish
As part of the new HealthPartners Apple Valley Clinic construction project, Evergreen Creative was brought on to fabricate two large-scale architectural feature walls installed at the top and bottom of the facility’s main stairwell.
These elements were designed to enhance the guest experience and align with the calming, upscale tone of the clinic’s interiors.

Two Custom Vertical Slat Feature Walls
Each installation (one at the stairwell’s upper level and one at the lower) was composed of a repeating rhythm of vertical wood elements, staggered in depth and elevation to create a sense of movement and dimensionality. The design draws the eye upward through the space while also functioning as a semi-privacy partition.Faux Walnut Finish for Cost-Effective Elegance
While the desired aesthetic called for the rich, luxurious look of walnut wood, the project needed to remain within budget. Our team worked with the client to source an alternative wood species and developed a custom staining and finishing process to achieve a convincing walnut effect, providing the same high-end visual impact without exceeding cost parameters.
These feature walls serve as an architectural focal point and a practical solution for shaping the flow of space. They reflect HealthPartners’ ongoing commitment to creating healthcare environments that feel welcoming, calming, and design-forward.
The successful faux finish process also demonstrates Evergreen Creative’s ability to value-engineer premium aesthetics through smart fabrication and material choices.
