As part of a co-branded experiential campaign, Evergreen Creative fabricated a custom pop-up obstacle course for Bear Naked and Target, installed on the high-traffic UA Mall at the University of Arizona in Fall 2015. Timed with the university’s back-to-school festivities, the obstacle course invited students, faculty, and staff to race side-by-side through agility tire runs, bright-orange balance beams, and other dynamic challenges. From the branded inflatable start/finish arch to the winner’s podium and anti-slip beam surfaces, every component was designed and fabricated to match Bear Naked’s adventurous energy while remaining safe, durable, and visually exciting under the Arizona sun.

The installation served as both a physical challenge and a high-visibility brand activation, creating a memorable campus centerpiece complete with free granola samples, branded swag bags, and high-volume social engagement. Evergreen Creative delivered the full experience through practical, field-tested materials like painted tires, wooden obstacles, and durable anchoring systems. The result was a course that saw heavy foot traffic while maintaining its structure and appearance throughout the day. Bear Naked’s playful, outdoorsy branding was on full display, integrated across all physical elements, while Target’s partnership reinforced a shared focus on healthy living and college lifestyle essentials.

The success of the course was amplified by organic campus buzz and social sharing, including a video post from the UA Graduate College showcasing faculty participation. The Bear Naked obstacle course remains a strong example of how strategic fabrication and creative design can transform a simple campus green into a dynamic, story-driven activation that resonates far beyond event day.
