MLB Commissioner Emeritus Bud Selig’s Office

LOCATION ◦ MINNEAPOLIS MN

Overview

Evergreen Creative was engaged to transform a long office corridor into a single, readable exhibit celebrating Bud Selig’s history in baseball. We developed the wall composition, fabricated archival-grade frames and shadowboxes for photos, documents, and memorabilia, engineered custom mounts for 3D objects, and installed the complete arrangement on existing pre-painted backer panels.

The design organizes decades of material into distinct “chapters” that guide the eye left-to-right: early photographs and press, milestone articles, jerseys and numbers, and object moments (bats, pennants, plaques). Scaled hero pieces anchor the narrative, while tighter clusters reward close viewing. Consistent reveals, alignments, and sightlines make the collection feel curated rather than crowded.

Key fabrication components included:

  • Archival framing & shadowboxes for photographs, press clippings, certificates, and jerseys

  • Custom object mounts for bats, plaques, numbers, and pennants (reversible and serviceable)

  • Precision field layout using full-scale templates, alignment jigs, and hidden cleats

  • On-site installation with careful leveling, spacing, and artifact handling protocols

Materials & build details

  • Conservation matting, spacers, and protective glazing specified for longevity

  • Fabricated shadowbox depths tuned to object profiles for minimal glare and clean reflections

  • Cleat-based hanging system for future serviceability and micro-adjustments

Impact

The finished wall turns a private office into a living archive—clean, coherent, and durable. Staff and guests encounter a single story rather than a collection of frames, and the system’s mounting strategy allows future swaps without disrupting the composition.
